Playdate in Seattle

Maddie loves getting together with her friend Ashlyn when we visit Seattle. Unfortunately, it is getting tougher and tougher to get them both looking at the camera at the same time. They were more interested in running around! :) Girls...GIRLS...hello, look at the camera! Girls!! Oh nevermind.

Recent outings

We've been busy having fun. We went to Sea World, and the awesome new park we found nearby (several times) AND the children's museum Downtown all in the last week or so! :)

We couldn't get daddy off the Elmo ride :)

Just kidding, Maddie was on there too; you just couldn't see her. She really enjoyed the rides though!

And on the train on the way home. We road the Coaster and then walked to the museum. It was quite the adventure!

Dance class

In an effort to shield our daughter from a lifetime of awkwardness on the dance floor (which unfortunately she is genetically predisposed to), we have enrolled her in tap/ballet class. This week was her second week. It is pretty much chaos with a bunch of near 2 year olds running around but she has a blast. You can see in the video how proud of herself she is (especially at the beginning). And her favorite part is the freeze dance at the end (which is kind of a 'free dance' as well in that they can move however they want to). Maddie definitely has a signature move :) (which she seems to fall back on all.the.time). Let's hope she learns some more from this class ;). She is the one in black.

Telluride!

We just went on our first real family trip for a week to Telluride, CO. We had a blast and I think it's been confirmed that Maddie loves vacation!

Madison has an announcement!

AHEM...quiet down in the back!! :)






Maddie is 'pleased' to announce she is going to be a big sister in January. Actually, we're not too sure how exactly she feels about the whole thing. Everytime I ask her if she wants a little brother or a little sister, she responds "sister" and everytime I ask her if she wants a baby boy or a baby girl, she always says "girl". And according to the doctor, she is NOT getting a baby sister ;). In actuality, I'm sure it will be an adjustment for all, but I think she will be a good helper and a great big sister. She loves taking care of her "babies" and her favorite thing to do is push her stroller...see below!






And an added bonus, we are clearly in need of another baby around here...cuz this one is almost grown up :). She sings her ABCs! Well, some takes are better than others but this is the take we captured on film. ;)

Maddie loves popsicles. Trouble is, she hasn't really mastered holding them upright for some reason. No matter how often we show her how to hold the stick the correct way, she either flips it upside down or puts it on her tray to eat. Oh well, I guess she got the job done either way!

Maddie vs. the Sprinkler - Round 2
